Whenever I go out, I look for public WiFi.

  • Railway stations.

  • Airports.

  • Malls.

  • Basically, everywhere.

It's convenient to have high-speed internet.

Do you do the same?

With research, I have come to understand the following things:

📌 Never ever use an Open WiFi network.

These public WiFi networks without a password could be hotspots created by hackers as traps.

📌 Use VPN

Even though hotels provide a password to access their WiFi in your room, there's still a risk of getting attacked.

It's better to Use a VPN even when connecting to a password-protected public WiFi network.

📌 Avoid Banking Transactions

Don't conduct any financial transactions on public WiFi networks, whether they are open or password-protected.

Use your Mobile Data for such transactions.

📌 Enable Two-Factor Authentication

As we discussed in our previous newsletter.

Even if a hacker obtains your password, with Two-Factor Authentication enabled, you're protected.

In conclusion, both open and password-protected public WiFi networks are not safe.
